Leadership in the Creative Industries
It is an interactive game experience, which informs the players in an entertaining and playful way about fake news and so-called social bots (automated social media fake profiles) that spread them.
Users should recognize such false messages in the future and question them before they form an opinion about a topic.

The concept for „thenetlog“, on the other hand, was made to reach a much broader target audience due to the platform choices (primarily Instagram and Facebook), which were chosen for a younger and much more entertainment seeking audience. We wanted to create an engaging experience for our new audience (that we would enjoy as well) and also educate about the media manipulation topic.
The manipulation of media is not a new topic per se, the use of social bots to spread misinformation throughout social media platforms is. Fake news are getting spread by these so-called social bots, which are automated social media fake profiles, to affect the public opinion in a certain way so that the one using them can take advantage of it.
