Leadership in the Creative Industries
The semester topic of SS 17 was to conceptualize a Transmedia Game/web-serial for a (fictive) political campaign.
„Elisa und der Apfelkomplott“ is an Alternate Reality Game with a fictional story:
Our program utilises modern media and an immersive story to provide interdisciplinary educational content, expanding the regular curriculum.
A fourteen year old girl named Elisa struggles rotating between the two very different life of her divorced parents, Carmen and Simon.
During weekdays Elisa lives at her mother’s place in the city center and on her weekends she helps out at the apple farm outside the city, where her father lives together with her grandfather Fred.

Fred and Simon struggle to earn enough money for their rent because their neighbour and competitor, Jenny, farms genetically modified apples which are easier and faster to grow, cheaper and aesthetically more pleasing.
The students are immersing into the role of Elisa’s friends who help her to save the farm by gathering and spreading information about the matter, designing, discussing, arguing and convincing our characters to work together.
