Leadership in the Creative Industries
„The Incident“ is an Alternate Reality Game with a fictional story: Germany faces a substantial terroristic threat when young
biologist John is caught up between personal loss and the political games of secret services.

We created a new right-wing party called “Deutschland Vor!”, which has a similar approach to the AfD but much more charismatic leaders in our main antagonist Viktor Jen and his vice chancellor Charlotte. Without being estranged internally, DeVor managed to win a majority and form a coalition with their junior partner AfD.
To showcase how shady right-wing politicians operate and how international politics secretly work, we introduced the US and China as foreign superpowers, who play their political games in a now weakened European Union.

User Experience
To get the attention of potential players to our game we thought about another touchpoint than the app store download. This touchpoint will be the Twitter channel of the political party “Deutschland Vor” ( www.twitter.com/ DeutschlandVor).
Twitter was used since it is the primary social platform of political parties at the moment. In contrast to Facebook there are less users, but the responses are visible for everyone on Twitter in contrast to closed groups on other social networks.
