Leadership in the Creative Industries
The semester topic of SS 17 was to conceptualize a Transmedia Game/web-serial for a (fictive) political campaign.
„Planets“ is an Alternate Reality Game with a fictional story:
In a universe where earth has hit puberty and sets out to conquer space, the sun is facing its own mental crisis and grandpa
Neptune goes to increasingly desperate measures to restore the actual laws of planetary physics.
After a traumatizing experience in the past, the Sun has become corrupted and evil, wanting to eat the planets of its own solar system. The planets -being forced to stay near the sun because of its gravitational pull – have mostly accepted their fate.

Implementation
Via the short episode „Planets“ the currently ten planets, the Sun and nine planets will be introduced. They are despised as living beings with individual personalities and interact with each other in a sometimes serious, sometimes comical manner.
The implementation of the cartoon will be a mix between 2D animation and an interactive game to drive the progression of the episode. If this should happen in a linear fashion or allow for greater freedom for the user can be discussed.
