Leadership in the Creative Industries
The semester topic of SS 17 was to conceptualize a Transmedia Game/web-serial for a (fictive) political campaign.
„Froome“ is an Alternate Reality Game with a fictional story:
The primary goal is to fascinate people to do sports in combination with VR technology.
By creating an episodic story inside our game, we want to repetitively draw the people into the fitness studio.
Cliffhangers at the end of an episode or a sudden plot twist playfully shall motivate especially beginners to workout harder and more often because they want to proceed with the story.

Interaction and Participation
Froome should not just be the game itself. It should be even more. Our goal is to connect our game world with the real world once you enter the fitness studio. We want to achieve this, by letting the fitness studio be already a part of the story world,
representing for example the“headquarters“, in which you even get props, you’re tasks, etc.The switch between stepping onto the stationary bike and being inside the game, sitting on a mountain bike, cross bicycle, etc. should be really smooth and intuitive. This way it will be even more immersive and an exciting experience.
